Application
1. It is important to exercise caution and refrain from applying the product to surfaces that exceed 66 °C (150 °F).
2. For optimal strength, ensure that the surface is clean and dry prior to application. While LOCTITE EA 3463 can be used on wet surfaces, the resulting bond strength will be diminished.
3. To achieve the best adhesion, it is advisable to clean and sand the surface beforehand.
4. Cut the necessary amount of material from the stick and remove the clear plastic wrapper from the section that has been cut.
5. To mix the components, begin by twisting the material to create a spiral pattern of resin and hardener. Subsequently, knead the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes or until a consistent color is obtained.
6. Apply the mixture firmly for patching, repairing, or bonding purposes.
7. For a polished finish, dampen a cloth or your gloved finger with water and use it to smooth the surface.
LOCTITE® EA 3463 is a two-part epoxy resin system that is reinforced with steel.
