LOCTITE SI 595 is a clear, one component acetoxy silicone adhesive sealant designed for professional sealing and bonding applications. This room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone cures when exposed to moisture in the air, forming a tough, flexible silicone rubber seal. Supplied as a thixotropic paste, the material ensures non-slumping performance in vertical and overhead joints. It emits a mild acetic acid odor during curing and requires no mixing before application. LOCTITE SI 595 provides superior adhesion and long-term flexibility while effectively sealing out moisture and contaminants. The formulation is non-flammable and non-toxic, capable of filling large cracks and seams without shrinking, cracking, or hardening over time.

This silicone sealant resists aging, weathering, UV light, ozone exposure, and extreme temperature cycling due to its unique chemical structure. It is suitable for mechanical assemblies, electrical insulation, protection of leads from mechanical shock, trim bonding, and sealing of ductwork, vents, flues, doors, and windows. The product is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 51 for use with plastic materials and components in food equipment up to 204°C (regional approval) and is UL recognized for plastics and components. It is not recommended for concrete applications.

In its uncured state, LOCTITE SI 595 has a specific gravity of 1.01 at 25°C and an extrusion rate between 350 to 750 g/min. The flash point information is available in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). The material becomes tack free within 45 minutes and achieves full cure in approximately 24 hours, depending on temperature, humidity, and joint gap conditions. After curing for one week at room temperature, the silicone exhibits a tensile strength of ≥ 0.8 N/mm² (≥120 psi) as per ISO 37, elongation of ≥ 275% (ISO 37), and Shore Hardness of ≥ 14 (ISO 868, Durometer A), delivering reliable environmental resistance and mechanical durability.

For best results, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil or grease before application. Apply the product to one surface for bonding and assemble immediately. When using cartridges or pressurized cans, dispense the silicone forward into the joint area. Excess material should be removed immediately, and uncured residue can be cleaned with a dry cloth or hand cleaner. Store the product in an unopened container in a dry location at an optimal temperature between 8°C and 21°C. Avoid storage below 8°C or above 28°C to maintain product performance.
